The purpose of this law firm is to promote and bring to bear the Rights proved by our Constitution; understood in originalism.  All people should be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor and successes through self-determination. Through Business Planning we promote the common good found in capitalism and how businesses can strengthen bonds between people; avoiding what we call extreme market competition. Through Estate Planning he promotes the importance of stewardship; for ourselves and for the communities we cultivate.

MY APPROACH

Make a plan, so you can live your life.

Not only do I have years of experience working with people to plan both their life and their business—I practice what I preach. I love a life filled with adventure. With a family including two young kids at home, I know how important it is to have all the pieces in place to protect myself and them when inevitable changes occur

My philosophy is: Right Plans. Right Times. Right Memories. That means: when you put the plans in place that protect you, your loved ones, or your business from predictable or unforeseen changes, you need not worry.

We are here to help you LIVE your life.

Estate Planning Statement of Purpose Origin:

Preparing to meet the needs of your family is your greatest responsibility. The O’Rourke Law Firm, LLC approach to estate planning is founded on these verses:

“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8  An Estate Plan is designed to protect both you and your family. A good plan will also serve to protect your wishes and provide guidance, both medically and regarding how your property is managed as you age, if you become incapacitated, and after your death.

“Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.” Deuteronomy 8:18 The gifts of wisdom, skill and understanding are given by the grace of God. Wealth cannot be acquired without them.

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10 We have the responsibility to plan our estates, whether they be large or small, but arranging for our possessions pales in comparison to providing to those we love.

Being a good steward is managing all that we have for the benefit of those we love. It is important to have an estate plan in place, or state law will determine who receives your property upon your death. An estimated 70% of Americans don’t even have a will. Taking time now to decide how your loved ones and your assets are cared for and distributed is the best way to provide for and protect your family. Careful planning allows you to decide who receives property upon your death, what, when and how they receive it. Once these decisions are made, legal documents can be drafted to establish your estate plan.

Quotes of Note [No real connection to the practice of this firm]:

The preservation of liberty depends upon the intellectual and moral character of the people. As long as knowledge and virtue are diffused generally among the body of a nation, it is impossible they should be enslaved . . .Ambition is on of the more ungovernable passions of the human heart. The love of power is insatiable and uncontrollable.

-John Adams

When kings the sword of justice first lay down

they are no kings, though they possess the crown.

Titles are shadowes,

Crowns are empty things,

The good of subjects is the end of kings.

-Defoe

The people's good is the highest law - Cicero.

We may please ourselves with the prospect of free and popular governments. But there is great danger that those governments will not make us happy. God grant they may. But I fear that in every assembly, member will obtain an influence by noise not sense. By meannesss, not greatness. By ignorance, not learning. By contracted hearts, not large souls . . .

There is one thing . . . that must be attempted and most sacredly observed or we are all undone. There must be decency and respect, and veneration introduced for person of authority of every rank, or we are undone. In a popular government, this is our only way.

-John Adams

There is a tide in the affairs of men,

Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;

Omitted, all the voyage of their life

Is bound in the shallows and in miseries . . .

And we must take the current when it serves,

Or lose our ventures.

-Shakespeare

“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews.” - Gina Carano
